The Pedagogic Strategy in Seneca’s Epistulae Morales

古罗马作家塞涅卡既是晚期廊下派之重要代表人物，亦是影响后世西方巨擘之教化大师。本文试图分析塞涅卡晚年潜心著述、意在指引青年人通达[至善]的教化佳作《道德书简》。通过揭示其外在形式—书信体写作的教诲意图及其内在线索—[友爱]在整部书简的道德进程中所起的作用，展示古典作家匠心独运之教化技法。

Lucius Annaeus Seneca， the Ancient Roman Writer， is both one of the most prominent representatives of Late Stoicism， and the moral teacher who exerts profound influence on later thinkers. This thesis attempts to analyze one of his masterpieces， Seneca’s Epistulae Morales， of which composed in his late years， aiming to guide youths toward the road of [Summa Bonna]. By revealing the pedagogic purpose of its outer form─Epistolography， and its inner clue─the role played by [friendship] in the moral process of the whole work， this thesis exhibits the unique pedagogic technique of the classic writer.
