批判性是大学的重要属性。大学自产生之日起，就一直作为批判社会的中心。大学探寻知识、追求理想的本性以及学人的特殊地位，是大学社会批判精神的源泉。近代以来，大学的知识性质、知识结构和学人的地位发生了重大变化，大学的社会批判精神和批判功能随之趋于弱化。当代社会迫切需要重建大学的社会批判精神而达致这一目的，首先必须明确重建大学社会批判精神的立场，然后才能解决重建的途径与方法问题。

The Social criticism is one of the important attributes of universities. The university’s pursuit of knowledge， ideals， and truth， and the scholars’ special position are origins university’s tradition of the social criticism. In modern times， the attributes and structure of knowledge and the position of scholars have changed dramatically， that leads to the weakening of the university’s tradition of social criticism. Under the current social situation， the construction of the university’s tradition of social criticism requires clear standpoint of this issue， and then the solution to methods.
