In 2008， Graduate School of Education in Melbourne University of Australia put forward a new program named Master of Teaching. The essay analyzes some issues of the new program， including the background， the reason， the characteristics and the practice of the program. The essay also presents the implications of this program to the pre--service Master of Education program in China.
