The Problems and Countermeasures of the Development of Women Higher Education in Kenya

独立后，肯尼亚女子高等教育获得了重大发展，但仍然存在明显的不足，表现在男女生的总体比例、专业分布、院校分布、发展环竟和成绩等级等方面。其发展不足的原因在于法规制度、社会经济和文化、基础教育、高校招生政策及科学课程的设置与教学等等方面存在问题或障碍。虽然肯尼亚学者提出了许多应对策略，但由于诸多原因，政府实施这些策略尚待时日。

The development of female Higher Education in Kenya mainly happens after the independency， but it has distinct problems such as disparity in female and male enrolment， major and institution distribution of female students， development environment as well as achievement of female student. The reasons behind include the problems in legislation systems， social economy and culture， basic education， college policies of admission， as well as design and teaching of science curriculum. Although many countermeasures have been put forward by Kenyan scholars， it still needs time for Kenyan government to implement them for various reasons.
