The United States is one of the most prosperous nations of the postdoctoral training. But it has problems in its development. The Sigma Xi postdoc survey revealed the current situation and the existing problems of the postdoctoral training in the USA. And the results of the survey have positive influence on the postdoctoral training. This article introduces and analyses the Sigma Xi postdoc survey in order to offer enlightenment and reference for reflecting and improving the postdoctoral training in our country.
