A Review on the Studies about Girls-Only School in Foreign Countries

女子学校教育曾经是女子获取正规学校教育的重要形式，但在当前的学校教育系统中所占比例很小。针对当前性别混合学校中出现的女生对待不公和发展不公，单一性别教育是否是一种有效的方式?综观国外最近对女子中学的研究，我们可以看到这个问题不能一概而论；另外，国外的研究活动从研究质量、研究方法到研究对象还有待完善和拓展。

Girls-only school was an important form for women to acquire formal schooling. This type of school represents small proportion in current school system in the world. Is the girls-only school more effective for girls' achievement and development in the context that there are some unfair treatments to girls in co-education school? According to the research on girls-only school in foreign countries， there are no consistent conclusions. The research on girls-only school needs to be further developed as there exists some deficiencies in the methods， quality and areas on this topic.
