Vocabulary assessment, where to go?—Review of Assessing Vocabulary

本文简评了剑桥大学出版社出版的《词汇测试》一书，指出该书从测什么、怎样测两个方面，系统、全面、深入地介绍了词汇测试，将应用语言学理论与实证研究融合到语言测试中，为二语习得研究者、测试专家和外语教师提供有益的参考，加深了对词汇测试重要性的认识。另外，本文联系国内外词汇测试研究最新成果，对词汇测试的发展方向和未来前景进行了预测。

This paper is a review of the book Assessing Vocabulary published by Cambridge University Press. The book introduces the assessment of vocabulary systematically and comprehensively from two aspects: what to measure and how. It integrates theory and research in applied linguistics into language assessment， deepens our understanding of the importance of vocabulary assessment， and is an excellent reference for second language acquisition researchers， test developers and classroom teachers. In addition， this paper discusses the trend and prospect for the further development of vocabulary assessment through a review of some current researches on vocabulary assessment.
