不同水平的中国英语专业学生写作过程的对比研究

A contrastive study of the writing process of English-major students of different levels in China

本研究在认知模型的基础上，将写作过程分为计划、生成和修改三个阶段，并通过量化和质性研究手段，探讨了不同水平的中国英语专业学生在写作过程中的差异。研究发现：（1）在写作计划方面，高水平写作者的计划时间长，整体计划多，而且写前提纲质量较高；（2）高水平写作者在修改过程中，多从文章整体和表达的需要出发，而低水平写作者多局限于拼写和语法错误的修改。

Based on the cognitive model， the present study divides writing process into three phases: planning， generating and revising， and explores the discrepancies between skilled and unskilled English major writers in China through quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results show: (1) the skilled writers spend more time on pre-writing and global planning， and produce outlines of higher quality; (2) in revising， the skilled writers， focusing more on global changes， take into consideration the need of essay development， whereas the unskilled pay more attention to the correction of spelling and grammatical mistakes.
