英文摘要 | Grounded in voluminous literature review, this paper gives a summary and reorganization of the debate on whether distance education was a discipline, which occurred in the late 1980s involving several important figures in this field from different countries. This debate can give us a lot of inspiration and render further discussion on the establishment of distance education as a discipline as well as a program in the domain of China’s higher education. |
