近來劉滄龍主編《文本．方法：古典思維與跨文化哲學的交涉與實踐》，建立在對「文本」與「方法」兩方面探索。基本上環繞對於文史哲經典詮釋，努力發揮當代閱讀視域的種種潛能。全書分為兩大部分：「文本與方法相遇：古典文本及其思維」與「從方法回到文本：比較哲學與跨文化方法」。「文本」與「方法」形成動態循環關係，逐步開展豐富意涵。本書評將對於該書進行「文本中的方法」、「方法內的文本」進行適度辯證，並從古典思維與跨文化哲學的交涉、實踐與反思著手。過去常說的「方法」訴諸於工具性與功能性，本書改變視野與轉換角度，順著「方法」如何在「文本」形成過程討論。要能掌握古典思維方式，語言成為概念解讀，加上詮釋方法的運用，主體問題的開展，以及抒傳傳統的視域，凸顯自身文化內部具有抽象且富有深刻意涵。

Recently edited by Liu Canglong, Text and Method: The Encounter and Practice of Classical Thought and Cross-Cultural Philosophy is founded upon an exploration of both‘text’and‘method’. Fundamentally centred on the interpretation of literary, historical, and philosophical classics, it endeavours to realise the diverse potentials of contemporary interpretative horizons. The volume is divided into two principal sections:‘Text and Method Encountered: Classical Texts and Their Thought’and‘From Method Back to Text: Comparative Philosophy and Cross-Cultural Methodology.’“Text”and‘method’form a dynamic, cyclical relationship, progressively unfolding rich connotations. This review will engage in a measured dialectic between‘method within the text’and‘text within the method,’focusing on the interaction, practice, and reflection of classical thought and cross-cultural philosophy. Whereas‘method’has often been framed in terms of its instrumental and functional aspects, this book shifts perspective, examining how“method”is formed within the process of‘textual’creation. To grasp classical modes of thought, language becomes conceptual interpretation. Combined with the application of interpretive methods, the unfolding of subject-matter issues, and the horizon of the expressive tradition, this highlights the abstract and profoundly meaningful dimensions inherent within one's own culture.
