“Puzi’s Focused Writing: On the Embodiment of Myriad Transformations”

本文將就如下三個方面展開討論：1.簡述卜茲2008年之前對於傳統書法的繼承與提煉。這是一個從「技術」模仿到「藝術」創發的廣泛學習與自我書法風格確立的過程，但我們將放在現代藝術的脈絡中討論，而不僅僅是以傳統書法美學話語來思考。2.分析卜茲2008年之後「新狂草藝術」書寫的貢獻。這是一個從個體化的「藝術」到生命書寫的「道術」的轉化，我們將分析幾幅代表作，來指明卜茲革命性突破的藝術表達，如何「凝神」與「暢神」，通過卜茲作品，感受到古代「形神」關係的美學觀念如何獲得了當代的視覺表達。3.討論卜茲新狂草書寫藝術的貢獻與啟發，這是從哲學的真理性深度表達上，來再次思考卜茲的「道化」的藝術，為什麼是「道術」而不僅僅是藝術？我們認為，當前書法的討論都沒有指向「書寫的真理性」，都僅僅局限於藝術的討論，只有指向「道術」，藝術的個體化才有可能生成，這個道術就是「凝神」的書寫。

This paper will discuss the following three aspects: 1. A brief overview of Buzi’s inheritance and refinement of traditional calligraphy prior to 2008. This was a process of extensive learning and the establishment of his own calligraphic style, transitioning from“technical”imitation to“artistic”innovation. However, we will discuss this within the context of modern art, rather than solely through the lens of traditional calligraphic aesthetics. 2. Analyzing Buzi's contributions to“new wild-cursive calligraphy-art”after 2008. This marks a transformation from individualized“Style Art”to the“Dao-Art”of life-writing. We will analyze several representative works to highlight Buzi's revolutionary artistic breakthroughs, exploring how his art-works embody the ancient aesthetic concept of the“form-spirit”relationship through contemporary visual expression. 3. Discuss the contributions and insights of Buzi's new wild-cursive calligraphy-art. This involves re-examining Buzi’s“Dao-Art”from the philosophical depth of truthful expression: why is it“Dao- Art”rather than simply“art”? We believe that current discussions on calligraphy have not addressed the“truth of writing,”remaining confined to artistic discourse. Only by pointing toward“Daoist art”can the individualization of art emerge, and this Daoist art is the“concentration of the spirit”in writing.
