A Study on the Leadership of Entrepreneurial University Presidents in Current America

20世纪80年代以来，美国大学校长产生了一种新的类型，即企业家型大学校长。本文概述了美国学术界的相关研究情况，探讨了其领导行动，并概括了其领导特征。在资源短缺、新技术变革和市场经济盛行的背景下，美国大学发展需要校长的事业心、企业家精神、风险意识承担责任的态度。

Since 1980s， one type of American university presidents， which is called entrepreneurial university president， came into being. This paper summarizes the current American researches about entrepreneurial university presidents in America and discusses their leadership behavior and generalizes their characteristics. Under the situation of insufficient resources， changes of new technology and prevailing of market econ9omy， university presidents should be equipped with entrepreneurial spirits， consciousness of venture and attitude of taking full responsibility for the development of universities.
