Richard E. Clark is one of the outstanding leaders in the filed of Educational Technology. In this article， the author reviews his ideas on Educational Technology and his contributions to the theory─building and practice─improvement of the field from the three dimensions─criticism， exploration， and practice， and tries to understand the implications of his ideas for the future.
