The nature of modern distance education in rural primary and secondary schools is to improve the quality of education in rural areas，to promote the coordinated development of urban and rural education. From discussion of the basic concepts， basic principles， the basic methods， theoretical basis and structure of the basic theory of modern distance education in rural primary and secondary schools， the authors hope to interpret the modern distance education in rural primary and secondary schools in the theory， to provide theoretical support and practice guidance for development of modern distance education in rural Primary and secondary schools.
