英文摘要 | The meaning of a word is its use in the language. And the meaning of a name is sometimes explained by pointing to its bearer. Using the framework of production─distribution─reception, the theory of political symbolism attempts to examines whether the text of one policy meant in the “words” has ever been put into practice, so as to criticize its political and social function. “Excellence” and “choice” are two main symbolic words produced by the conservative educational policy text in the 1980s. They passed through “the great school debate” in the distribution level to acquire legitimization, and then through the ‘democratic conversation” with the neo─progressivism in the reception level to achieve socialization. |
