Characteristics and Implications of International Research in Higher Education and Social Stratification and Mobility

国外高等教育分流与社会分层流动研究起歩较早，成效显著，在理论依据、研究目标、研究对象、研究内容、研究方法和研究结论等六个方面呈现出从单一取向向二元（或多元）结合转变的特点。借鉴国外经验，我国高等教育分流与社会分层流动研究要加强基础理论建设，确立以研促建目标，重视社会整体调查，注重多元方法分析，强化互动规律探讨，致力互动机制构建。

With the opening of social structure and amplification of higher education function， the research in higher education and social stratification and mobility has attracted increasing attention. This field has an early start and good progress in the west， and it is current in the transition from single─to multiple─perspective in terms of theoretical foundation， research goals， objects， content， methods and outcomes. It is necessary for China to strengthen the construction of basic theory in this filed， and also to establish the goal of research─based development， attach importance to the investigation of society as a whole， intensify the analysis of multiple methods， reinforce the exploration of interactive mechanism.
