Research and Discrimination of Education：Research and Comparison on Connotation of Education Based on Chinese Traditional Culture

“教”与”育”是两个有联系但内在意蕴不同的概念，长达百年的中国教育现代化实践，没有完全弄清”教”、”教育”、”育”三者之间的意蕴界限及其各自的本真内涵，以至于”教育”简化为”教”，以”教”代”育”、重”教”不重”育”的现象普遍存在，严重削弱了”教育”应有的质量与效果。

Teaching and education are two connected notions with different implications. Since the turning point of the 19th and 20th century， we have practiced modernization of education for almost 100 years， but we haven’t so far clarified the implication boundary among teaching， education and cultivation as well as their respective real connotations. What’s worse， the prevalence of downgrading education as teaching， replacing cultivation with teaching， emphasizing teaching while belittling cultivation was weakened the due quality and effect of education.
