During the 19 and 20 century， John Dewey is not only the leader of progress education in America， but also is one of the important representatives in American child study movement. John Dewey participated in the movement and focused on the progress of it and made great contribution to its sound development. John Dewey’s experience in the movement and his reflection on it constitute the important parts of his educational thoughts and practice and become the important contents of the formation and development of modern education as well.
