现代学术传统是中国教育学研究发展与创新的文化基础。只有回归现代学术传统，秉承学问与人生相结合、关怀历史与现实、恪守学术独立的现代学术精神，重视现代学术传统的实践价值，才能摆脱教育学学科立场的迷惘和学派理念的空洞，才能形成中国教育学术文化，实现教育学研究的新生。为此，需要教育学研究追寻现代学术传统的精神，沿着现代学术扎根实践的实践之路，蕴育出中国教育学术的文化生态，形成中国教育学术研究的理论品格、实践情怀；需要从现代学术精神中汲取营养，扎根现代学术传统这片沃土，在现代学术传统基础上形成教育学研究的学术规范与学术理念；需要培育教育学研究的创造力倾向，使新世纪的中国教育学形成稳定的学科身分和地位；需要遵循历史的逻辑，站在教育学术史的高度，审慎地选择教育学学术方向和领域。

Modern academic tradition is the cultural foundation for the development and innovation of pedagogic study in China. In order to get rid of the confusion of disciplinary position of pedagogy and the inanition of school idea， to form the academic culture of education in China and generate a new pedagogy study， the pedagogic study in China should return to the modern academic tradition， carry forward the spirit of combining learning and life， caring history and reality， upholding the modern academic spirit of academic independence and put great emphasis on the practical value of modern academic tradition. Thus， pedagogic study needs to follow the spirits of modern academic traditions， and shape the cultural ecology of Chinese educational academics alongside the route of modern scholarship that is deeply rooted in practice.
