The Research of Art Education in the High Schools in Shanghai
Elementary and middle schools art education transform is a key point of China elementary education reform. Shanghai is the leading city to execute it. This research aims to grasp overall situation of high school art education and students’ thoughts and opinions upon it， with the way of qualitative interview and questionnaire survey to the students and teachers in two selected high schools（Minhang third middle school and Nanyang middle school）Indicated from questionnaire survey， film and television art and music are most welcomed by students; Shanghai high-school students have generally received art training in their childhood， but few students persist till grown-up; The main reason students like art class is it is able to alleviate their serious college entrance examination pressure. In a word， high school students are not very satisfied with the high school art education. Through experimental teaching of Tomorrow Will Be Better and Prays for Olympic Games， I’ve made a self-examination and discussion about the goal， form， method and the interaction way of teacher and students in art classroom for high school art education. Finally， from the perspective of introducing traditional art into the classroom， I argue that some teaching materials could be improved and artistic teachers accomplishment is very important.
