The Breakup Reasons and Adaptation Strategies of LGB

面對愈來愈多的國家給予同性伴侶合法的婚姻權利，LGB分手原因與調適經驗的相關研究也愈來愈重要。本研究採立意與滾雪球抽樣，利用網際網路問卷調查，尋找：一、認同本研究且同意分享個人經驗者；二、曾經歷同性之間情愛關係（至少半年以上）；三、最近3年來兩人結束伴侶關係；共計405位受訪者（124位男同志、189位女同志與92位雙性戀者）。研究結果發現：一、LGB分手原因主要著重於伴侶關係的親密不足，這個部分與異性戀伴侶並無不同；二、男同志較女同志易因聚少離多而分手，女同志則較男同志因親友反對而分手；三、分手原因與內化恐同可解釋LGB負向分手調適的變化，LGB分手調適經驗仍無法完全脫離性少數壓力的影響。

Since the marriage right for LGB was legalized in the increasing number of countries, studies on their breakup reasons and adaptation strategies have become more important. The current study used purposeful and snowballing sampling method, applying an internet questionnaire to collect data. Those who: 1. agreed upon this study and were willing to share their experience; 2. had had same-sex couple relationship for more than 6 months; 3. ended their couple relationship for less than three years, were qualified to participate in the study; 405 participants in total, including 124 gay men, 189 lesbians, and 92 bisexuals. The findings are: 1. the major reason for LGB breakup is the lack of intimacy in relationship, no different from the heterosexual partners’; 2. it is easier for gay men to break up due to more time apart than together comparing to lesbians. For lesbians, it is easier to break up due to objections from parents and significant others; 3. breakup reasons and internalized homophobia can explain the negative breakup adaptation of LGB, but their breakup adaptation experience is still somewhat affected by the stress resulting from being sexual minority.
