A Study on the Systems Thinking of Taipei Elementary School Principals in Their Administrative Decision
This study aims to explore the situation in which the administrative decision of the principal of Taipei elementary school is in line with the characteristics of systems thinking. First, based on literature discussion and interviews as the basis for the development and revision of the questionnaire. 145 Taipei city elementary school principals fill out the questionnaire. According to the research results, the main conclusions are as follows. Based on the research conclusion, ten suggestions were proposed for education administrative authority, the future researchers. Principals’ administrative decision tends to conform to systems thinking characteristics. Including “focusing on the overall structure”, “identifying causality”, “observing long-term changes”, “master the key of problem”, and in terms of “make good use of image thinking” the degree of conformity is relatively low. The female principals are more concerned with the four dimensions of focus on the overall structure, “identify causality”, and “make good use of image thinking”. The male principals are more concerned with the two aspects of “observing long-term changes” and “ master the key of problem “ than female principals. In addition to the “observation of long-term changes”, those who major in “education” perform better than other majors in other dimensions. Those who majored in “language, law, other” and majored in “education” were significantly better than those who majored in “business management, science and engineering” in “observation of long-term changes” dimensions. In summary. The systematic thinking characteristics of the administrative decision of the taipei national primary school principal. All are in line with the “focus on the overall structure”, “identifying causality”, “observation of long-term changes”, “master the key of problem”. In addition to less use of image thinking, women are better than men in the characteristics of “identifying causality” and “make good use of image thinking”. In addition, in the “observing long-term changes” feature, those who majored in “language, law, other” and “education” were significantly better than those who majored in “business management, science and engineering”.
