英文摘要 | Writing skills were key to success in school, work, society and life in our times. Writing instruction in school was linked to the cultivation of key writing skills. The paper aimed to explore the current development and future perspectives of writing instruction for high schools students in America. Firstly, to introduce the current situation of writing instruction in high school. Secondly, to analyze the challenges of writing instruction in high school. Finally, to explain the future perspectives of writing instruction for high schools students in America. The future developments of writing instruction were as following: 1. To find a wide variety of writing activities and increase writing volume. 2. To have a deepen understanding of the cognitive complexity of writing. 3. To use evidence-based writing instruction. 4. To offer students having learning difficulties a helping hand for writing. 5. To change the writing strategies based on different subjects. 6. To prepare a sound cultivation plan and on-the-job training course for writing. |
