Implementing the Core Ideas of Flipped Classroom

翻轉教室是近年來十分熱門的教學改革。從技術上說，翻轉教室常被用來指稱課外聽看錄製教材，課內實施像家庭作業的活動；從理念上說，翻轉教學是要求學生做好課前準備，以便主動參與課堂學習活動的教學方式。翻轉教室現流行於中小學，在大學也相當普遍使用，許多教師投入翻轉模式，肯定其價值，但也遭遇挑戰。對於翻轉教室，社會上仍然有正、反面的觀點，一則予以支持，另則施加批評，顯示翻轉教室的道路仍有窒礙難行之處。本文先分析對翻轉教室的支持和反對意見，進而討論教師實施翻轉教室應學習的新能力，提出落實翻轉教室的途徑，並做成結語。

The model of flipped classrooms has been a heated topic for the recent years. The model flips the traditional approach of using class time for explaining concepts and homework for reinforcement. In the beginning, many teachers jumped in, but soon faced challenges, then kept asking: Can instruction be effectively delivered at home, releasing class time for discussions, questions, practices, projects and labs? Some argue that this teaching model will completely transform education, while others say it is simply an opportunity for boring lectures to be viewed in new locations. This article discusses the pros and cons of this teaching model, explores the new abilities teachers have to learn, and proposes approaches to implement a real flipped classroom.
