中文摘要 | 本研究從Coleman 社會資本論出發,延伸威斯康辛模式,以結構方程模式來分析2005 年與2007 年台灣教育長期追蹤資料庫中高中生與其家長的資料,有效樣本為19,474 位,研究目的在了解家庭社經地位對高中學生教育抱負的直接影響以及家庭社經地位透過三類型社會資本對教育抱負的間接影響,並探究在教育抱負影響路徑上鄉村與非鄉村學生間的差異之處。研究發現家庭社經地位對社會資本與教育抱負皆有顯著影響,家長期望與親子互動是家庭社經地位與學生教育抱負間的中介變項。研究結果也證實社會資本作用的確隨社會脈絡而有差異,鄉村學生教育抱負顯著低於非鄉村學生的原因,主要來自代間封閉對高二學生教育抱負作用的不同所致。 |
英文摘要 | Drawing upon the social capital theory from Coleman, the present study referred to Wisconsin model and used structure equation model to analyze data in 2005 and in 2007. Data from the Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS) contained 19,474 high school students and their parents. This study aimed to find the direct and indirect effects of family socioeconomic status (SES) on educational aspirations and the mediating effects of three kinds of social capital on educational aspirations. Furthermore, the difference of the path of influencing educational aspirations between rural and non-rural high school students was also explored. The results were as follows. First, family SES influenced both social capital and educational aspirations, and parents’ expectations and parent-adolescent interaction were mediators between family SES and educational aspirations. Second, the impact of social capital was context dependent. The main reason that rural students educational aspirations were lower than non-rural students was that intergenerational closure had different links to educational aspirations of Taiwanese eleventh graders. |
