本研究主要在探討居家照顧服務員應具備的核心能力，並比較核心能力重要性認知與具備程度之差異，以及影響核心能力重要性認知與具備程度之因素，以雲林縣居家服務提供單位之264位居家照顧服務員為研究對象進行問卷調查。研究結果發現，居家照顧服務員對從事居家服務應具備的人格特質、服務態度、人際溝通、問題解決、專業知識、專業技能、工作倫理、自我及專業成長等八大核心能力，持中等以上的認同態度；居家照顧服務員在居家照顧核心能力整體重要性認知，高於目前具備的程度；專業知識與自我及專業成長是居家照顧服務員自認為較不足的項目，建議優先加強在職訓練課程規劃，並參考重要核心能力項目來甄選人才。最後，本研究提出對未來研究工具與研究對象的建議。

In this study, the required core competencies for home care workers were explored, comparing the differences between and factors that affect the perceived importance and actual performance of core competencies. A structured questionnaire survey was conducted; by 264 home care workers in Yunlin County, Taiwan.
The results are as follows: (1) the mean perception of core competencies for home care workers was scored between important and very important; (2) the home care workers possessed positive attitudes toward the 8 core competencies, including personality, service attitude, interpersonal communication, problem solving, professional knowledge, professional skills, work ethic, and self- and professional development; (3) the perceived importance of core competencies in home care workers was higher compared with the core competency levels they possessed; and (4) professional knowledge and self- and professional development were areas in which the home care workers felt inadequate and should improve first.
These core competencies can be used as a reference for selecting home care workers. Finally, recommendations are offered for the research tools and participants in future studies.
