Study on Expansions and Impacts of Academic Capitalism

高等教育面對各種新興的發展挑戰，其中有關市場機制運作所構成的影響層面相當廣泛，雖然此一發展趨勢源自於外在環境變遷，然而，其之所以可持續不斷地對大學校院造成影響，乃與學術資本主義興起及其競爭與績效邏輯的高舉有關。據此，本文主要在檢視學術資本主義的影響，分析學術資本主義對大學校院新興管理模式與教師專業的效應。處於學術資本主義的運作邏輯與機制下，政府也呼應了學術資本主義並應用經費競爭途徑進行資源配置，進而使得國家管制的力量未降反升，也衝擊服務其間的大學教師之專業表現。針對學術資本主義擴張的效應，既影響著大學校院組織機構之間的關係，也衝擊著大學校院之內的組織氣氛；前者表現出組織階層結構的變異，後者則引發組織內在價值的困境，明顯地對於大學校院造成重要的結構性變遷。本文解析此擴張與效應，並且針對後續發展提出相關建議與研究方向。

This paper examines the influence of academic capitalism and its impacts on the new managrialism and the professoriate in the colleges and universites. In declining to the market-oriented mechanism in the higher education, however, the power of governmental control over the colleges and universities increases instead of reduction. The government corespondends to the acdemic capitalism and applies the budget competition system to allocate the resources. Therfore, academic capitalism causes two crtical structural changes in the colleges and universities, as following: 1. the structure of hierarchy among colleges and unversitie; 2. the normalization of distrust inside the campuses.
