蘇格蘭教學協會推動教師專業發展之歷史探究，1966-

A Historical Examination on the Contributions of General Teaching Council for Scotland to Teacher's Professional Development, 1966-

本文主要探究蘇格蘭教學總會在1966年成立時的背景，以及經歷近50年來該總會對於蘇格蘭地區的中小學教育以及師資培育發展究竟有何貢獻。透過前人的研究以及相關文件分析之後可以發現到，蘇格蘭教學總會雖然是非官方的教育組織，然而，長期與中央教育主管機關、地方教育單位、師資培育機構以及地方中小學的密切合作，協助師資培育生、中小學教師、學校行政人員、甚至是教育相關人員獲得專業成長，該單位現已成為蘇格蘭相當重要的教育專業組織。

This article is mainly to investigate the context of the establishment of General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in 1966, and this council's contributions to primary and secondary education and teacher education over these past fifty years. By the analysis of the related documents, it could be found that GTCS had the long-term co-operations with the central and local educational authorities, institutions of teacher education and local schools, which assisted initial teachers, school teachers, headmasters and educational practitioners to update their professionalism.
