美国的家庭作业研究在近一百多年的时间里，历经了五个不同的历史阶段:从19 世纪末的漠视、20世纪初的批判、而后的改革与探索、淡出大众视野到20世纪末的关注回归并重新兴盛。在这些不同的阶段中，研究者对家庭作业研究的孜孜探求，对于美国家庭作业相关政策及不同学校家庭作业制度的形成和演变起到了重要的指导作用。同时，这些研究对于我国家庭作业的研究也具有重要的借鉴和参考意义。

A brief historical research of homework in American around one hundred years is reviewed. This paper has divided the research into five time periods, which was the disregard in the late 19th century, followed by the criticism in the early 20th century, the reform and exploration against homework, the largely ignorance in the public view of the concerns, and the back to the view of concerns in the late 20th century and flourished again. In these different stages, the researchers had studied the homework issues diligently ; which had played an important role in guiding the homework policies for the United States and the formation and evolution of the different schools homework policies. At the same time, these studies on more than a century of research on homework also have important significance and reference value for China homework research.
