Modularization, Curricularization, Specialization: Three Outcome-Based Modes of Curriculum Construction
Nanhua University is the pioneer in developing three outcome-based modes of curriculum construction which are: modularization, curricularization, and specialization. "Modularization" means that every department’s courses are classified into different modules, part of which tend towards academic training, and part of which tend towards skill training. "Curricularization" means the combination of different course modules to form specific programs. "Specialization" means to classify academic programs and skill-training programs, and in the mode of specialization, cross-field programs are designated as compulsory. To promote the three modes, Nanhua University has three strategies: conducting professional analyses, maintaining minimum changes, and optimizing the goal.
