20世纪60年代，美国推行了注重学科知识结构的课程改革运动；80年代以后，美国通过推行STS教育而努力对传统科学课程进行重建;2000年以来，美国为保持在全球范围内的领先地位，开始推行STEM教育。半个世纪以来，美国当代科学教育的发展实现了政策、理念和行动的有机整合，通过持续改革而提升了对科学的本质及科学教育内涵的认识，这一切对于我国的科学教育改革无疑具有借鉴和启发意义。

Science Education in the Elementary and Middle School of Contemporary American: Policy， Philosophy， and Action YANG Ming-quan Abstract Science 1960’s，American carried out the science curriculum reform， which focused on the structure of subject knowledge. After 1980’s， American tried to implement STS education. In the new century， American began to practice STEM education. During the last half century， science education in American achieved the integration of policy， philosophy and action. Through science education reform， people strengthen the understanding of science and science education，which will inspire us to undertake the science education reform in China today.
