A Review on American Family Support Services

Since the 1970s，Family Support has become an important tool to respond to the weakening of the child- raising function of families in the US，which has formed a prevention- focused and community- based service model that highlights the strengths of families， and it has greatly improved child development and child- raising capability of families. Chinese families rely primarily on themselves to raise children，and lacking support fromthe government and community. In the face of the social problems caused by the weakened child- raising function of families， it is necessary for the government to draw on the experiences of the US， and share the child- raising responsibility through systemized family policy and socialized family support services，to make up the child- raising function deficiency of families and to promote child development.
