A Study on the Academisation of English State School

Under the guidance of“neoliberalism”for education reform，Cameron’s government has been reforming English school system dramatically. One of the most noteworthy characteristics is that more and more English state schools are converted into“academies”，which are funded directly by the central government，leaving local authorities’control and having more autonomy. As the number of “academies”has been increasing rapidly，the rationality and necessity of it has also been criticized and questioned extensively.
