From Evaluation of Education to Evaluation for Education: Review of Progress in International Education Evaluation Research
This paper presents the background of the education reform， research and practice in the field of education evaluation is from the evaluation of education to the evaluation for education， education evaluation has to serve teaching and learning better. Based on the references of education evaluation frontier authoritative literature， eight changes of education evaluation research and practice were summarized: the theories of education evaluation from reflection to constructivism， the purposes of education evaluation from selection to diagnosis， the content of education evaluation from Rs to Cs， the tools of education evaluation from standardization to situational， the elements of education evaluation from items to evidences， the environments of education evaluation from closed to interactive， the culture of education evaluation from tangible to intangible， the standards of education evaluation from experience to profession. References for the research and practice in the field of basic education evaluation in china were provided.
