A Study on the Contents for Developing Professional Competencies for Preschool Teachers in the Era of Knowledge Economy
While the society of the 21^(st) century is increasingly becoming a society of knowledge economy, education in Taiwan must rethink itself. As for early childhood education, preschool teachers should pay attention to the impact of the knowledge economy may be generated for early childhood education, and think in this era of knowledge economy how to enhance their professional knowledge and ability, and meet the possible impact of the knowledge economy era. For this reason, by reading and analyzing related studies, this study, firstly, explores the importance for promoting professional competencies of preschool teachers, and they can pay attentation to how to promote their own professional competencies. Secondly, this study mainly explores the meaning of knowledge economy, and analyzes the contents for developing professional competencies for preschool teachers in this era of knowledge economy, so that teachers' professional competencies will be improved. The contents are as follows: (1) the ability of knowledge management; (2) the ability to share knowledge; (3) the ability of action rersearch; (4) the ability of teaching innovation; (5) the ability to use instructional technology; (6) the ability of creativity, and (7) the ability of lifelong learning.
