A Study of University Teachers? Attitudes towards Inclusive Higher Education
Inclusive higher education is an important way to protect the educational rights of university students with disabilities. University teachers? attitudes towards the enrolment of university students with disabilities is the critical factor that affect the development of inclusive higher education. Through the questionnaire survey of 70 teachers in regular universities，this research explored the overal attitudes of university teachers towards inclusive higher education from 6 aspects ： acceptance of different types of disabilities; forms of receiving higher education; key factors of developing an inclusive university; supportive enrollment policies； how to meet special needs of university students with disabilities； and teachers? evalu-ation on their own inclusive teaching practice. Overall， university teachers were lack of understanding of inclusive higher education， lack of knowledge and strategies of practicing inclusive education， and universities were lack of relevant supporting system. Universities should spread the ideas of inclusive education， establish service centers for students with disabilities， and provide teaching and administrative support for both teachers and students regarding inclusive higher education.
