The Establishment of Five-Factor Quality Structure Model and Its Implications for Innovative S & T Talent Cultivation in Chinese Universities

The cultivation of innovative talents in science and technology is the mission and inherent requirement of the establishment of first-class universities and disciplines in China. Existing studies in this field failed to reveal the ＂real state＂ of quality structure of innovative S & T talents. Therefore， the orientation of innovative S & T talent cultivation is ambiguous and the existing training model and quality evaluation lack empirical basis. By combining methods of qualitative research and quantitative research， this study establishes a five -factor quality structure model with ＂innovative S & T talent＂ as its criterion -reference. The validity and reliability of the model are verified by confirmatory factor analysis and test， and its implications for innovative S & T talent cultivation in Chinese universities are also discussed.
