Establishment of Integrated Institutional Research System: A Case Study of Tongji University

Institutional Research is a broad category of work. Integrated Institutional Research System integrates the working system by establishing a collaborative research department of different colleges. The system can integrate the organization， function， work flow and information concerning institutional research inside the campus and co-colleges. This essay takes Tongji University as an example to explore the systematic development of integrated institutional research in mainland China， based on the theory and practice of institutional research. The case study shows the overall prospect of institutional research， whose features are fit for the global research trends， and provides a new direction for the development of institutional research in Chinese HEIs.
