Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Private Universities: Current Situation%2C Dilemma and Way Out

Private higher education forms an important component of China^s higher education， while Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools (CFCRS) is an effective way to resolve the dilemma faced by private universities. Judging from the current situation， CFCRS in the field of private higher education is insufficient. The reasons for that include the lagging of CFCRS-related law and policies， the weak capacity of private universities， the lack of understanding and choice hesitation concerning CFCRS of university leaders and so on. To resolve the dilemma， it is imperative for private universities to enhance their understandings of CFCRS， and introduce and effectively utilize quality educational resources from abroad. On the other hand， government at both national and local levels needs to promote classified management of CFCRS， clarify policy discrimination and provide necessary support.
