英文摘要 | The university rankings have sparked heated discussions about what is the world-class university, how to build it and other basic issues. The paradigm of constitutive theory and generative theory provides a theoretical basis for our understanding of these basic issues concerning world-class university. Generally speaking, the existing theoretical research and practice in the field of world -class university reflects the stereotype of constitutive theory consciously or unconsciously. World -class university is not formed, but generated. Chinese world-class universities must take root in the land of China, meet the needs of social and economic development in China and shed Chinese characteristics. Therefore, the establishment of Chinese world-class universities needs a brand new thinking pattern. It is a difficult but necessary process to shift from forming world-class university to generating world-class university. |
