英文摘要 | Kindergarten-based teaching research is one of the characteristic and approaches to professional development of early childhood teachers in China. With a cross-cultural comparison, the present paper compares and contrasts China's kindergarten-based teaching research system with the corresponding part in U. S. Using an analysis of the current status of China's Kindergarten-based teaching research system as a base,this paper analyzed the similarities and differences on approaches of early childhood teachers to professional development through teaching research activities. The discussion scope ranges from the recognition of teaching research activities in schools to the teaching research systems in the two countries. The authors conclude that developing various professional development communities is becoming a new trend for teacher professional development in both countries. With a unique cross-cultural comparison,this paper not only brings a new perspective to the research of the professionalism of early childhood teachers,but also provides new insights on the improvement of teaching quality of early childhood institutes. |
