A Case Study on the Entrepreneurial Transformation of UCLA

With the development of whole innovation and entrepreneurship situation， the public research universities/ land grant universities in US face the same external challenges as private research universities. They also have to actively implement entrepreneurial transformation， including responding to local needs， expanding the developmental periphery， and striving for educational resources. The university of California， Los Angeles（UCLA） is the a public research university which clearly put forward the goal of“creating entrepreneurial university”. UCLA have made great efforts in promoting interdisciplinary research， strengthening the transformation of scientific and technological achievements， bridging the connection of university and other social agents， which explain the basic development laws of contemporary American public research universities.
