Building A New Learning Paradigm: The Educational Ideas of Experiential Learning and the Implementation of Alternative Schools Ya-Ci Selena Hsueh
This essay first aims to explore the educational notions and behavioral actions of experiential learning. Secondly, it states that experiential learning is just the learning axis and style that a lot of alternative schools create for learners, which is different from normal schooling and the formal learning style. In the third point of this essay, how experiential learning can be practiced among various alternative schools in modern Taiwan will be examined. Efforts have been made to survey how courses and learning activities in alternative schools collectively build up a de-schooled experiential learning procedure. Finally, it is pointed out that recently, the majority of people in Taiwan are cultivating the notions and actions for learning, by which the de-schooled learning environment is expected to be created and a new learning paradigm set up.
