中文摘要 | 臺灣在全球各大指標性競賽中,累積了許多優異且創新的專利智財,如何將這些「創意」變成「生意」,逐漸成為我國設計發展下一個關切並努力的方向,也是設計教育關注所在。筆者受惠於臺灣國際競賽獎勵、菁英留學獎學金等諸多計畫資源養成,於紐約留學期間累積百餘座設計獎項,並回國擔任設計教育工作,本文僅就國際競賽現況及設計商品化課程的規劃與嘗試,分享臺灣設計教育經驗。 |
英文摘要 | Taiwan has accumulated multiple product patents related to intellectual property over the years; and the quantity as well as the quality of these products are favorably recognized in significant global competitions. The idea of transforming these ‘fruits of creativity’ into ‘fruits of business’ has gradually become the next emphasis in the development of design, and is among the major issues in the field of design education in Taiwan. The author of this paper has greatly benefitted from the financial incentives provided by Taiwan, including award monies from international competition, scholarships for elite exchange projects, and much more. The author has received more than a hundred prestigious awards during his studies in New York, and has now returned to Taiwan, engaging in the area of design education. This paper is mainly focused on the realities of international competition, and the design of curricula concerning product design. In the process, an overview of the design education experiences of Taiwan is also shared. |
