價值信仰的抉擇：人類社會福禍之關鍵

The Choice of Faith Values as a Critical Key to the Fortunes or Misfortunes for Human Society

人生可謂就是不斷抉擇的過程，從嬰兒期較無抉擇能力而多由他人代為抉擇，以迄日漸自我抉擇；概言之，不同的抉擇產生不同的命運，而影響做抉擇之主要關鍵，可謂在於個體之「信念」與「信仰」；尤其，由「信念」昇華為極為牢固的「信仰」後，往往會產生極為巨大的力量；然而，有的個體或族群之信仰產生「正向建設性力量」以造福人類社會，有的卻產生「負向毀滅性力量」以傷害人類社會，其關鍵乃在於價值信仰的抉擇。

A person’s life journey is in essence a continuous process of choice-making. This journey starts at early childhood when one can make few choices and relies upon others for decision selection. Step by step he/she proceeds to the stage upon the time of being able to achieve selfchoice. Generally speaking， difference in choice-making leads to difference in one’s destiny， and the key to choicemaking lies in individual belief and faith. In particular， so long as one manages to undergo the sublimation of belief and transform it into faith， an enormous level of power will be created for different purposes. Still， there are cases when an individual or ethnicity produces a positive and constructive power that works for human society， in contrast with someone who produces a negative and destructive power that works against human society. The key to this difference exists in the form of the choice of valuable faith.
