中文摘要 | 学习分析是近年来新兴信息技术在教育领域内创新应用最重要的热点之一。该文通过广泛的文献综述,试图全面揭示这一新兴技术在高等教育领域内创新应用的基本范畴与主要进展、面临的关键课题与重大挑战、可持续发展的未来出路,以为其在我国的发展提供参考与借鉴。作者认为,学习分析在高等教育领域的应用主要包括三个基本范畴:从学习视角看,是如何利用学习分析促进学生学业成功;从教学视角看,是如何利用学习分析提升教师教学效能;从管理视角看,是如何利用学习分析优化配置教育教学资源。作者发现,过去几年学习分析在以上三个方面都取得了可观进展,但还面临着一系列重大挑战,包括如何把学习分析建立在对学习的科学认知之上,如何克服关键的技术瓶颈,如何防止技术与数据被滥用,如何提高学习分析利益相关者的能力等。作者提出,学习分析在高等教育领域内可持续的创新应用,有赖于在战略与政策支持、资金与资源投入及人员配置与培训上付诸更多努力。 |
英文摘要 | Learning analytics is one of the most significant developments for emerging information technologies in higher education in recent years. In this article, through a comprehensive literature reviews, the authors try to outline the domains, progresses, challenges, and future directions of learning analytics practice in higher education, in order to provide a benchmark for China. The authors propose that, the learning analytics practice in higher education covers the domains of learning, teaching and administration, respectively with the aims to increase student success, improve teacher performance, and optimize the allocation of teaching and learning resources. They find that, with the important progresses, there are some serious challenges for learning analytics practice in higher education, including lack of scientific foundation from learning research and effective technology through technical innovation, abuse of technology and data, and insufficient competency of shareholders. Finally, the authors argue that, for the sustainable development of learning analytics in higher education, more efforts should be made in strategies and policies development, funding and investment, and staffing and professional development. |
