Re-thinking on the Rationality of University Culture

大学本质上是文化积淀的产物，是负有选择、批判、传承和创造人类文化职能且具有强烈文化属性 的组织，是优秀文化传承的重要载体和思想文化创新的重要源泉。基于上述立场，本文在厘清文化概念的基础 上，讨论提炼了大学文化的要素及特征，并就大学文化之于大学价值追求以及办学治校育人实践的重要性及其 意义进行了探讨与分析。

Universitiesj essentially the outcome of cultural accumulation? are responsible for selecting， criticizing and creating human culture. They are not only organizations with intense cultural attributes， but also important carriers of culture heritage as well as significant sources of cultural crea-tion. Along this vein， this paper first clarifies the conception of culture. Then it divides university culture into spiritual culture? institutional culture and environmental culture and demonstrates the inner relationship among the three. Lastly， it discusses the significance of university culture to value pursuit and daily practices of universities.
