英文摘要 | This essay offers an analytical review on the studies in cross-space-time diffusion and reception of Dewey's educational thought (1996 -2012). It reveals that in China there is still more space to fill in concerning this type of research. However, in the Western countries this type of research demonstrates its diversity with respect to theoretical approaches and analytical frameworks. Its research methodology can be explained by the theory of externalization and its research methods reveal a tendency of combining historical analysis with comparative analysis. This type of research makes contributions through specific cases to re-evaluating Dewey's historical significance and exemplifies the application of the theory of externalization and the combined model of historical research and comparative inquiry. |
