Sheng-Sheng ： The Virtue of the Heaven-and-Earth and the Fulfillment of Human Being ： The Cosmic Interpretation of Meaning in Confucianism and Taoism

＂一体＂＂感应＂与＂生生＂，是构筑儒、道意义世界的三大关节。其中，＂生生＂既是天地运化的根本趋向， 也是人生在世的意义之源。它以＂天人一体＂为生存论前提，以＂物我感应＂为根本运化机制。＂生生＂之论的内在价 值义蕴是：天人不二，故＂自＂、＂当＂一体；修其天爵，学以为己；成己成物，致中蹈和；素位而行，乐天知命。生人之道，尽乎此矣！

The major tradition of Confucianism and Taoism systems in Chinese philosophical meaning world is centered on the integrative wholes explicable in three major terms： the Inseparable Unity of Heav- enandMan(天人一体，all manareatonewithHeaven)，Mutual InductionbetweenThingandMen(物我感应，and Creative Creativity (生生，Sheng-sheng). Creative Creativity， which means literally in Chinese to beget or to create， is the fundamental direction of the heaven-and-earth?s creativity and meanwhile constitutes the virtue and the fuliillment of life. It considers the inseparable Unity of Heaven and Man as the precond i t i on for man?s com i ng i nto be i ng and i nteract i on as fundamental mechan i sm whereby man can enlighten the prospect of his life. The internal cosmic meaning of Sheng-sheng theory s that Heaven and Man are inseparable and therefore ^nature” and ^obligation” should be one； individuais should foster their good virtue and learning for self cultivation. All llving beings including humans derive their existence from Creative Creativity which s being achieved as the good and holds human beings under rts own way into harmony，and by which the final destiny of the universal constancy and the fulfilment of life are achieved.
