高校与区域协同发展已经成为当今世界高等教育的新趋势。知识、人才和制度是高校与区域协同发展的核心要素。围绕核心要素，美国亚利桑那州南部若干高校充分挖掘其人力资本开发、知识溢出和文化辐射等功能，遵循区域能力建构、创新体系建设和文化品质提升层层推进的发展路径，在其发展过程中彰显出开放性、针对性与整体性的协同特色，对我国具有启示意义。

The collaborative development between higher education institutions and the region has become a new trend in world higher education. Talents，knowledge and institution are the key elements of this kind of collaborative development. Around the three key elements，universities and colleges in Southern Arizona deeply dig the functions of human capital development，knowledge spillover and cultural radiation，following the developing approaches of regional capacity building，innovation system forming and cultural quality promoting. Openness， distinctiveness，wholeness are the development features appear when we analyze its experience，which also offer significant enlightenments to our regional colleges and universities developments.
